Finally, finally, finally, it feels like it's been so long... It's Stones Throw Block Party Season!
We're kicking things off on Saturday, March 31 with our 2-Year Anniversary Party (details below)! Then we'll follow things up with the Bellingham Beer Week celebrations all week (more details further below) leading up to our SMASH fest on Friday, April 27th. And of course, it's not spring in Fairhaven without Ski 2 Sea! We'll shut down the street the day before the race and party all day and into the night on May 26th, and then have the street shut down again on May 27th for the actual race.
Be sure to catch as many of the Block Parties as you can. As always, they're kid and family friendly, free to attend, and feature a lineup of both awesome local food trucks and live bands!
2-Year Anniversary Party
Stones Throw Brewery is excited to invite the entire community to their 2-Year Anniversary Block Party on Saturday, March 31, 2018.
Stones Throw Brewery has its second birthday this year, and wants to celebrate this great two years and thank everyone who has been a part of the Stones Throw community. Everyone is invited to the free, family-friendly Block Party, which will begin at 12 and end at 8pm. The street will be shut down in front of the brewery for live music, food trucks, games, and an extended beer garden.
Live music begins at 1pm and goes until 8pm, and features Stones Throw regulars the High Mountain String Band opening up and playing until 4 when they pass the stage over to JP Falcon and the Ringtail Cats. Back East BBQ and Kurly’s Fries will be serving up food for the whole celebration, so make sure you come hungry!
Flagship Stones Throw beers such as the Neighborhood IPA, Two Dollah Porter, and award-winning Raincountry Liquid Sunshine Lager will all be on tap. Other beers on tap will be the collection of newer brews, including Midnight Rider Dark lager and the SMASH 005, the fifth version of the Stones Throw Single Malt and Single Hop beer series.
Block parties are a staple to the Stones Throw way of life, and the brewery will kick-off the upcoming block party season with the rain-or-shine birthday party. Two more block parties are planned for the spring: Friday, April 27, Stones Throw will host a SMASH-style Beer Fest Block Party during the Bellingham-wide Beer Week celebrations, as well a block party on Saturday, May 26, the day before the Bellingham Ski-2-Sea race.
As always, all Stones Throw block parties are welcome to all ages. Stones Throw Block Parties are a way the brewery likes to thank the neighbors who have made the brewery’s existence special, wonderful and joyous. Stones Throw wants to provide a space for our community to enjoy being outside, listen to good music, and eat good food, all with the chance to get together and raise a pint.

Bellingham Beer Week Stones Throw Celebrations
Hop Planting: Sunday, April 22nd, 10am-Noon.
Stones Throw Brewery will be working with our neighbors to plant hops at the Chuckanut Center, a community garden on Old Fairhaven Parkway. The hops will be used to brew a community hopped beer in October. So come down, learn more about Chuckanut Center, and help your neighborhood brewery do some planting for Earth Day. Contact: firstname.lastname@example.org if you are interested in volunteering.
Beer Tasting: Tuesday, April 24th, 2-3pm.
Join us in the taproom as one of our Stones Throw beer experts will lead you through a tasting of Stones Throw beers, helping you discern the subtle notes and differences within craft beer. You'll get to experience both beers on tap and unreleased brews straight from the tank!
Tastings include 5 tasting pours, as well as a beer coin redeemable for a free pint of your choice, all for only $5.
Beer-themed Trivia: Thursday, April 26, 7-9pm.
Our normal Trivia night will be taken over by the nerds - THE BEER NERDS! All rounds will be somewhat related to beer. As always, $2 per player, 4 players max per team, and we split all the cash 75/25 for the top 2 teams (third place gets a pint glass and pretzels!).
SMASH Fest Block Party: Friday, April 27th, 5-9pm.
We're celebrating one of our favorite styles of beer, the Single Malt and Single Hop SMASH! Local breweries Menace and Aslan will join us in brewing SMASH beers to have on tap at our SMASH fest. As always: Live Music, Food Trucks, All Ages, and a dang good time!
