The dark days of winter are over… Just kidding. We love winter. We love Mt. Baker. We love skiing and snowboarding in the morning and drinking beer in the evening. BUT! We can still do all that…. and now with sunshine! So on that note - let’s talk beer!
New On Tap Right Now
Pink Boots Society Brut IPA — The Brut-ure is Female! 6.7% ABV, 32 IBU
Proudly brewed by the Bellingham women of the Pink Boots Society, a nonprofit created to assist, inspire, and educate women in the craft beer industry. Tropical flavors of citrus and melon make up this hop-forward beer, with hints of coconut and a remarkably low, mild, bitterness. Featuring a pilsner-malt backbone. This annual Intl. Women’s Day collaborative beer raises money for the nonprofit, and Stones Throw will donate a portion of the proceeds from every pint and keg sold. All the malt was donated by Skagit Valley Malting, and you can ask your bartender how you can donate as well!
Tree Rings India Pale Lager — 6.0% ABV, 70 IBU
This heavily dry-hopped lager has a perceived bitterness and fresh finish. The heavy hop aromas play into the light body, with zippy lemon, orange, and grapefruit citrus flavor to the light body. A freshly cut pinesap aroma fittingly lends itself to the Tree Rings name.
Celtic Cairn Irish Stout — 5.7% ABV, 23 IBU
Smooth, delectable, and served on nitro for an authentic Irish body. The minimal EKG hop aroma and taste allows a slightly roasted chocolate body to lead the flavor. While not overpowering, the dark body hides a slightly-amber color to the classic Stout profile.
Also on tap right now is the Flat Penny Pale Ale and Two Dollah Porter.
SMASH 008 Pale Ale — 5.6% ABV, 31 IBU
Mild and hop-forward with a bitter body, there is a subtle sweetness to our eighth batch in our Single Male and Single Hop series. This SMASH features Mt. Hood hops and Violetta Pale malt. The hazy, pale, body is full of cantaloupe and honeydew melon notes with a balanced earthiness. A perfect spring beer for what’s looking like a perfect spring so far!
Golden Ale — 5.5% ABV, 25 IBU
With a sweet, slightly-spicy, and gentle aroma, this Golden Ale is bright and clear and drinks similar to pilsner-style beer. No hops were added in the bittering phase of the brew, leading to a an almost nonexistent hop presence in the bready and highly-carbonated body.
Also returning: The Midnight Rider Dark Lager, The On-Your-Left Hefe, and more Neighborhood IPA!
