Well, this is the Northwest, and so it was bound to happen...as the new round of beer makes its way out of the fermenters and transfers down to the cooler, the Stones Throw taps are going to become deliciously hop-heavy. Over the course of the next two weeks, expect to see a shift of completely new beer from the Stones Throw tanks to your pint glass.

Most exciting of all, brewed special for Bellingham Beer Week, is the Fairhaven Fix! This collaborative beer represents both of Fairhaven’s favorite libations: Tony’s Coffee and Stones Throw Beer. The straw-colored lager is blended with a coffee lightly roasted to highlight the sweetness and fruit character to create both a tasty and potent 5.8% ABV beer. For those of you who can’t seem to choose between a cup of coffee or a pint of beer, this one was brewed specifically to make your life choices easier.

Pouring on nitro in all this new beer is the ESB. Now that a vacant tapline appeared like sun through melodramatic storm clouds over the mountains, the Blanchard ESB (5.8%) joins the fun! Throw down a pint to find a good balance between bitter and sweet, and of course, the nitro adds a nice smooth and creamy touch to the already-rich body of the ESB.  Another batch of the Two Dollah Porter is ready and waiting in the wings to keep you toasty by the backyard fire pit as the summer nights wind down.

Also newly on tap is the return of the Lummi Lager, the refreshing pilsner that blew keg after keg early in the summer. Sitting at 5.5% ABV, the Lummi is a crisp and golden beer for a sunny day. The first of our Session IPA double-release has made its way on to the Stones Throw tapline as well. The Little Session (3.2%) is pouring and ready to go, with the Big Session (4.6%) not too far behind.

Now these Sessions might seem a bit undercharged for an IPA, but that’s because after a damn good run with the Forbidden Peak Black IPA...the Neighborhood is coming back! This classic Stones Throw IPA is dry hopped with Centennial hops and doesn’t pull any punches with an ABV of 6.2%. Soon, with three IPAs on tap, hop hunters won’t have to go far in search of what they desire. It almost has a “Goldilocks and the Three Bears” theme to it, but comparing porridge to beer isn’t the most flattering… Either way, you’ll find the IPA that’s just right. And head-brewer Tony is just the cuddly bear to drink one next to you!

But don't worry - the Black IPA isn't done, not quite yet. So come snag a glass while you still can.
