We figured the best way to celebrate Ski to Sea weekend was to keep it all in the Bellingham family! Even the pig we’re roasting has been feeding on spent grain from the brewery -- it all comes full circle to the Stones Throw extended neighborhood.  After all, we did name our first IPA after the neighborhood for good reason.

To help you get as stoked as we are for Saturday, here’s a little bit about all of our community members helping make the party rock.

The Grub

Paellaworks Pig Roast: Many of you know of and love Paellaworks - they’ll be dishing up our main entree, the pig! There will be sides along with the honeybeer bbq pork, including custom salads created by Old World Deli. Pig Roast tickets are $15 and can be purchased ahead of time at the brewery. If you haven’t purchased yours yet, now is the time to do so -- they’re going fast! Important note: The pig is served at 4pm!

Fairhaven Pizza: A staple to not only downtown Fairhaven, but greater Bellingham as well. You’ve seen their menus in our bar before, so it’s no surprise we wanted them here for the block party!

Cubano Cubano: A new, and very welcome, addition to the Bellingham food truck community. Cubano Cubano serves delicious Cuban sandwiches, bowls, and salads. We’re stoked to have Cubano Cubano here for our first block party, and we have no doubt you’ll be chasing this food truck all over town for now on.

The Tunes

12:30 - 1:30, Misty Flowers: Bringing a blend of jazz, blues, and folk elements, Misty Flowers and her guitar are a passionate and unique performance you won’t want to miss.

2:00 - 3:00, Badd Dog Blues Society: Founded by singer, guitarist, and harmonica “badd dog” Andy Kock back in 1995, the band has been bringing an up-tempo vibe to their blues ensemble for over the last twenty years.

3:30 - 4:30, Devilly Brothers: With their foot-stomping fiddle, the Devilly Brothers play a robust acoustic Irish and Americana style sure to have you dancing. For those who swing by the brewery on Wednesdays, you’ll recognize lead vocal and guitarist Derek Duffy from his backyard jam sessions.

5:00 - 6:00, Heavy Jazz Project: Julian Macdonough and Delvon Lamar bring us an hour of, well, you guessed it: some pretty dang heavy jazz!

6:30 - 7:30, Yogoman Burning Band: Awarded “Best Booty Shakin’ Music” six times and “Best Band/Musician” twice by Cascadia Weekly, as well as “Best Selling Local Album” by Everyday Music, Yogoman Burning Band needs no further introduction to the Bellingham crowd! We know all the block party-goers are ready to jam to Yogoman’s musical sunshine!

Recreation Northwest

We touched briefly on Recreation NW in the last newsletter, but in case you missed it, here’s a quick summary: they rock. From trail stewardship to working with local governments, if it’s outdoors, Recreation Northwest probably does it. We brewed our special Fairhaven Park Tr-ALE in collaboration with them, with proceeds from the night benefitting the Fairhaven Park Trail in the nearby 100-Acre Woods. As if you needed yet another reason to drink a beer with us.
